We're a free matching service, not a renovation company. When you submit a quote request, we match it to one vetted local specialist who does the actual renovation, tiling, or waterproofing work. That specialist quotes and delivers the job directly.
Does it cost anything to get matched?
No. Submitting a free quote request costs nothing, and there's no obligation to book with the specialist we match you to.
How fast will I hear from someone?
Typically within a business day or two. Response times depend on the specialist's current workload and how you've described the job, so add detail in the notes field if it's time-sensitive.
Will I get calls from multiple companies?
No, that's the main difference from a typical comparison site. Each enquiry goes to one matched specialist, not a shared list sent to several companies at once.
What areas do you cover?
Currently Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga, and Dunedin, plus the suburbs around each. Submit a quote even if your exact suburb isn't listed; coverage keeps growing.
Are the specialists licensed?
Where a trade carries a legal licensing requirement, such as plumbing, gasfitting, and drainlaying work under the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006, or restricted building work requiring a Licensed Building Practitioner, specialists are expected to hold current registration. You're welcome to ask a specialist to confirm their licensing directly before work starts.
What if the specialist I'm matched with isn't a good fit?
You're never obligated to proceed. If the match doesn't work out, get in touch through this page and we'll look at matching you with a different specialist where one's available.

Do I need a building consent for my bathroom renovation?
It depends on the scope. Straightforward like-for-like replacements usually don't need one; moving plumbing a significant distance or changing structural elements generally does, under the Building Act 2004. Mention your plans in the free quote form and your matched specialist will flag this before quoting.
